Are you excited about the upcoming opening of Sunseeker Resort in
Punta Gorda? This luxurious resort is just two months away from welcoming guests, and reservations are now open. As we eagerly await its grand opening, I'll provide you with updates on Sunseeker's progress and offer seven fantastic suggestions for things to do in the
Punta Gorda and
Port Charlotte area.
Before we dive into the exciting activities in the area, don't forget to subscribe to our channel for regular updates. We post new videos every Wednesday, and during the week, we share shorter updates to keep you informed about all that's happening in the Sunshine State. In the video description, you'll also find a link to book a call with me or seek assistance with various issues.
First, let's talk about Sunseeker Resort. Originally slated to open in spring, it has faced several delays. However, the good news is that it's now set to open on November 20th, slightly later than the previous October date. The exterior of the building appears almost complete, but there's still some exterior work to be done. While we don't have information about the interior or staffing, we're hopeful that this time, the November date will hold.
Sunseeker has been actively recruiting and conducting Career Fairs, with many applicants vying for positions. The resort boasts eight restaurants, some of which promise an excellent dining experience. In the future, I'll visit these restaurants and provide you with reviews. Sunseeker also features shops on their website, catering to tourists. As a local, shopping might not be my primary focus, but dining is certainly on my agenda.
Sunseeker has also acquired the Aileron Golf Course, formerly known as Kingsway Golf Course, located in the northern section, just over the line in DeSoto County. I'll gather more information about the new course and share it with you.
While you wait for Sunseeker Resort to open, there's a lot to explore in the
Punta Gorda and
Port Charlotte area. Here are seven suggestions:
